Here is my new artwork, that was inspired by video games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and God of War 4.
This is the real-time environment scene in Unreal Engine 4.
In the process of creating this scene, I went through all the stages of the pipeline. I devoted the maximum amount of time to creating my own assets. Sketched drafts, thought out work with tile textures, created sculpting, retopology, UV and texturing.
I also spent a lot of time creating tile textures and creating master materials in Unreal Engine 4 to smoothly blend textures in the landscape, rocks and modular building parts. During the work I used many different texturing techniques. Tiled, unique and mixed.
To give the scene more realism, I used vegetation scans from Quixel.com. I also used the SpeedTree software to create realistic trees.
This artwork helped me understand all the stages of the pipeline when creating a complex environment breakdown.
